Frequently Asked Questions for Artists
• I work in 3D can I still participate?
o YES! Please ensure your submission is self-standing and does not exceed 6 inches in any
direction.
• If I provide my own canvas do I still need to pay to exhibit?
o Yes. The submission fee is the cost to participate.
o We consider the canvas free and encourage you to use the provided canvases.
o If they all match they are MUCH easier for us to hang.
• Should I put a wire or hanger on the back of my work?
o Please do not. It makes it much easier to hang if there is no wire on the back of the
canvas.
• I am too far away to come to the gallery, can I participate by shipping my work?
o YES!
o Please work on a canvas that is 6" x 6" x 1.5" gallery wrapped and stapled on the back.
• How will people know I made the artwork?
o Please sign your work. We will create a label based on your submission slip when you
return your artwork.
o We also encourage you to include your business card in the back of the work.
• What does it mean Youth/Teen can Opt Out of the Raffle?
o We know that if you are a young budding artist is it hard to give away your work. This
event is about inclusion, inspiration, and fun. We do not want the risk of not getting
their work back to limit a young artist’s desire to participate in the exhibition. By opting
out of the raffle, youth's and teen's artwork will be returned to them at the end.
• I am an adult, can I get my artwork back?
o The short answer is No. The long answer....Maybe. You can attempt to win back your
piece by purchasing raffle tickets. And if no one puts a raffle ticket on your artwork we
are happy to return your work.
