Get the Point of NeedlepointMondays, April 21 - May 12 [4 Weeks] : 6 - 8 PM [Laura Reyman]
This class is for needlepoint beginners who want to learn the basics or anyone who wants to refresh their skills. You will be provided with all the materials you need to a set of needlepoint coasters. Additional patterns and instructions will be provided based on class pacing within the four weekly sessions of 2 hours each. This fiber art is definitely like yoga for the brain, and a quiet way to relax after a busy day! Though this class takes place in our art studios, students will have a chance to seek inspiration by viewing pieces from historic Edwards Place. Spring Needle Felting for AllWednesdays, March 26 - May 14 [8 Weeks] 1:30 - 4 PM [Kate Atkinson]
This class will cover needle felting inspired by spring! Students will learn the basics about the tools, materials, and techniques for needle felting. Each project will build on the skills learned the week before, so this class is great for beginners and pros alike! We will learn to create beads for a keychain, make attachments, rove wool for decorative eggs, use armatures to make animals and more depending on class pace. Projects will come together in a handmade heartFELT spring basket.
