Introduction to Portraits: Acrylic & OilMondays, March 23 - May 11 [8 Weeks]: 2 - 4:30 PM [Ashlynn Frey]
Painters at varying experience levels will learn the fundamental skills of traditional grisaille portraits [monochromatic], facial proportions, mixing colors, shading, and controlling tones. Towards the end of the eight weeks students will complete a full portraiture painting. If students are painting with oil paint, they must have previous experience painting in that medium. Ages 16+ SUPPLIES: Please bring two (2) 8x10 or larger canvas. Landscape: Weather PhenomenaTuesdays, March 24 - May 12 [8 Weeks]: 6 - 8:30 PM [Ashlynn Frey]
Rain or shine we will be painting it all in the studio! Students will learn how to paint scenes of weather phenomena such as rain, blizzards, and tornadoes [oh my!]. We will cover the fundamental techniques and concepts of landscape painting such as composition, atmospheric perspective, color mixing, shading, and texture to create dimensional artworks. Ages 16+ SUPPLIES: Please bring two (2) 8x10 or larger canvases. Watercolor Open StudioWednesdays, March 25 - May 13 [8 Weeks]: 9 AM - 12 PM [No Instructor]
Watercolor Open Studio is for individuals working with drawing materials or any water-based media. Artists will be responsible for their own projects and materials. This is an opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue their own artistic endeavors while still having creative camaraderie. We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.
What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
In case of medical or family emergency, please give our office a call at 217-523-2631.
