As a class we will paint 2 exercises that demonstrate the layering process of watercolor. As well as 4 paintings focusing on the traditional practices of linear brushwork, washes and glazes. As well as demonstrations of fun techniques like pouring, splattering and resist, that can only be achieved with the unique medium of watercolor. We will also focus on all the elements of design and how to apply them to create a solid composition. This class is design to build a solid foundation in watercolor painting. I strongly recommend paint from the tubes rather than pans. Prices vary slightly with brands. The material price estimate for this class is a brand average in tubes. Good quality paint in 5 ml tubes run between $7 - 17 depending on the color.
