These classes are quick samples or tastes of what we have to offer in our various studios. Try something new that provides a fun, care-free introduction to, or development in a certain medium. BYOB or snack to the studio, unless you are working in the glass studio, metals studio, or Edwards Place, in which we will ask that you do not bring alcoholic drinks or snacks.

Calligraphy for BeginnersSaturday, May 9th, 10 AM-1 PM & Saturday, May 16, 10 AM-12 PM
This SAAmpler is based on exploration of calligraphy (the art of beautiful handwriting), often used during the 19th century. Registrants will learn how to write using the Chancery Cursive “hand.” The first day will be an introduction of skills, with the second day practicing those skills to further knowledge. This SAAmpler takes place on the first floor of Edwards Place, which is accessible. Ages 14+ $60 Non-Members. $50 Members. Crochet Round EarringsWednesday, May 13th, 6-8 PM
Crochet earrings are lightweight, customizable, and stylish. Perfect for beginners, they are quick to make and are an ideal handmade gift. In this class you will learn how to crochet in the round by using the magic ring and how to block your work. All materials and tools are provided, including a variety of yarns and your choice of silver-plated brass, stainless steel or plastic ear wires. Basic knowledge of the following crochet stitches is required: chain and single. This SAAmpler takes place in our mixed media studio. Ages 14+ $35 Non-Members. $25 Members. Crochet Hoop EarringsWednesday, May 20th, 6-8 PM
Crochet earrings are light as a feather and work up quickly. In this class you will learn how to crochet around a hoop earring base. All materials and tools are provided, including stainless steel hoops and a variety of crochet thread. Basic knowledge of the following crochet stitches is required: chain and single.
