These classes are quick samples or tastes of what we have to offer in our various studios. Try something new that provides a fun, care-free introduction to, or development in a certain medium. BYOB or snack to the studio, unless you are working in the glass studio, metals studio, or Edwards Place, in which we will ask that you do not bring alcoholic drinks or snacks.

Gingerbread HouseSaturday, December 6th, 1-3 PM
Leave the mess with us and just enjoy the memories! You will be decorating a pre-made gingerbread house with provided sweets and frosting. This workshop is fun for the whole family! Knitted Holiday DishclothTuesday, December 9th, 1-5 PM
Using a basic garter stitch, you will create a dishcloth with a fancy decorative edge. This cloth can also be used to wrap a small item, such as a jar of jam or bag of homemade cookies. No knitting experience is necessary! This beginner class will cover the basics of cast on, basic knitting stitches, and binding off to finish the project. Cotton yarn and pattern provided by SAA. Please bring size 6 knitting needles (they can be joined with a cable or basic plain). Ages 16+ $35 Non-Members. $25 Members. Mini Explosion BooksTuesday, December 9th, 6-9 PM
Create a miniature explosion book which can be gifted, used as a sketchbook or keepsake, or hung as an ornament! These small square books "explode" upon opening and look like a star or snow-flake when hanging. Colors will vary based upon individual choice. All materials provided by SAA. Wheel ThrowingPick a date below.
Give wheel throwing a spin in this one-night workshop! You will learn how to create basic forms on the pottery wheel and pick your glaze colors to be added by the instructor at a later date. Ceramic pieces need to be kiln fired, so please allow 2 weeks after the workshop before pieces will be ready for pick up. Ages 16+ $65 Non-Members. $55 Members. |
