Introduction to Screen Printing

Tuesdays, September 29 - November 17 [8 Weeks]: 6 - 9 PM [Betsy Dollar]
This class will explore the different approaches to screen printing, or pressing ink through a stencil on a stretched canvas. We will start with simple contact paper stencils, moving on to make direct emulsion stencils in the screens using hand-drawn film positives. If time allows, we will move on to computer generated and color separated films. We will print on paper, but if you wish to print on fabric you are welcome to bring in t-shirts, tote bags, or other flat-woven fabrics.

Gelli Plate Printing

Fridays, October 2 - November 20 [8 weeks]: 9:30 AM - 12 PM [Kate Atkinson]
Come explore this unique monoprinting method! We will cover introductory gelli plate methods while incorporating play and experimentation. Techniques will include stencils, floral/leaf prints, transfers, reverse paintings, and more depending on class pace.
Ages 16+

CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS OF CLASS
We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.

What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
