Painting
$150 up to 12 Kids
$20/ additional child up to 30 max. Condell Studio/ Mixed Media Studios Lead Instructor Acrylic Painting on 11x14" Canvas 1 Canvas per student Painting theme is determined by you, though we are more than happy to provide suggestions that align with your curriculum. 2.5 Hours Clothing Requirements: Aprons are available. |

Ceramics
$200 up to 10 Kids
$20/ additional child up to 12 max. Prairie Earth and Fire Ceramics Studio Lead Instructor Wheel Throwing (6th Grade and Older) or Hand building (1st Grade and Older) 1 Piece per student 2 Hours Clothing Requirements: Wet clay will stick to clothes but will wash out. Close toe shoes must be worn in the studio. Hair that is shoulder length or longer must be secured back when working on the wheel. Pick Up Information: Ceramic pieces must be kiln fired, so please allow 2 weeks before they are ready for pick up. You will receive an email when pieces are ready for pick up in our Front Office. |

Raku
$700 up to 15 Kids
$20/ additional child up to 20 max. Raku Patio/ Prairie Earth and Fire Ceramics Studios Lead Instructor and Assistant 1 Raku Pot per student Each student will glaze and keep their own pot, but they have to work together to accomplish the results. Raku is a Japanese technique that requires glazed ceramics to be taken from the kiln while they are still glowing red hot and to then be placed in a combustible material. This reduction technique is used to starve the firing environment of oxygen, resulting in a myriad of colors within the glaze. Ages: 13 to 18 3 Hours Clothing Requirements: Closed toe shoes must be worn, and shoulder length hair must be secured back. This is a smokey process, a hat to cover hair is advised. Safety equipment will be provided. |

Glassblowing Demonstration$200 for 30 max.
(Recommended 1 Chaperone/ 10 kids) Baima Glass Studio Lead Instructor and Assistant/Narrator Watch our glassblowing team work with molten glass! The process will be explained as your group watches and questions are encouraged! 2 Hours Clothing Requirements: Closed toe shoes must be worn in the studio. Safety glasses are provided for observers in the front rows. |

$20/ additional child up to 10 max. Baima Glass Studio Lead Instructor 1 piece per student Students will be guided through the process of sculpting an object with molten glass. Ages: 14 to 18 3 Hours Clothing Requirements: Closed toe shoes must be worn in the studio and clothing should be as close as possible to 100% natural fibers. Safety glasses will be provided. Pick Up Information: Glass pieces need 24 hours in annealing kiln and will therefore be available for pick up within 2 business days after your field trip. |

Tour the Historic Edwards Place
$2 per child
(Recommended 1 Chaperone /10 students is admitted free of charge) Each adult exceeding this ratio will be charged an adult admission ($5). One Hour Guided Tour Your tour through historic Edwards Place allows your class to step back in time and experience life in Abraham Lincoln’s Springfield, Illinois. Enjoy plenty of touch-it opportunities throughout this antebellum mansion, newly restored to its 1857 appearance. |

Reserve Your Event
Our Education Director, Maggie Packman, will be your contact person for your rental needs and questions. Please, fill out the form with your initial event request and she will get in touch. *All fields of the form must be filled in before hitting "Submit".* We require: - At least 2 weeks advance notice. - Rough Attendance Numbers need to be given a week before hand for materials. - Final Attendance Numbers need to be given on date of payment. Scout BadgesWe host scout badges for Girl Scouts and Scouts BSA in drawing, painting, ceramics, metals, and a general art badge.
All badge projects meet the requirements of the Brownie, Juniors, and Scouts Art Badge. Fill out the attached form and out Education Director will be in touch to finalize dates and times. WaiversFor some of our workshops, we require a wavier to be signed by a parent or guardian. Upon confirmation of your field trip, we will provide the form for your students and their families. Signed copies must be presented for our records on the day of your trip and before entering the studio.
