Want To Become Part Of The SAA Board?
The organization is governed by a 25 member Board of Directors. This is considered a working board. Members serve two year terms and are expected to attend monthly Board meetings, sit on a committee which meets once per month, host one exhibition opening per year and attend as many exhibitions and SAA events as possible. One need not be a member of the SAA to apply; but one must be a member to serve on the Board or a committee. Memberships range from $55 to $1,000+.
The SAA seeks individuals who are passionate about the visual arts, believe in historic preservation in Springfield, and who are interested in working to make the SAA the best community visual arts center in central Illinois.
Those interested in applying should submit a resume, cover letter outlining their interest and applicable experience, and any other documentation they deem applicable to the position. The deadline for application is February 15th. Interviews will take place in March. New Board terms will begin with the new fiscal year in June.
