In this course students will learn the basics of metal fabrication for wearables and small scale sculptural work. Teen Glass Casting
Fridays. October 4 - November 22 (8 WEEKS): 4 - 7PM [Kay Demlow]
In this course students will learn the basics of mold-making for the glass casting process. Students will learn modeling for mold-making, investment mold-making for open-face castings, two-part blow molds, pâte de verre technique, and coldworking for finishing pieces. Teen Ceramic Handbuilding

Bring your imaginings to life with clay! Students will have the opportunity to make both functional and sculptural pieces while learning a variety of hand building techniques. Teen Wearables
Thursday, October 3 - November 21, 3:30PM -5:30PM [8 WEEKS] (Kate Atkinson)
Wearable art!! This class is both making items to wear and using the items we wear as drawing inspiration. You will create shoe charms, learn drawing techniques like modern contour line drawings, denim upcycle projects with a color theory painting lesson, bleach dying that will include charcoal and pastel drawing lessons. Supplies: you will provide the shoes and denim, SAA will provide the supplies. Ages 13 - 18 $180 Non-Members. $150 Members. Teen Mixed Media Papier-mâché
Saturdays, October 5 - 26, 3:30PM -5:30PM [4 WEEKS] (Savannah Saltsgaver)
In this class, students will learn how to build, sculpt, and design using papier-mâché techniques with paper and glue. Classes will also include a small art history lesson on each papier-mâché project. Students will create Piggy Bank, Talavera Flower Vases, Jack-O’-Lanterns and Daisy Flowers for the Vase. Chills and Thrills: Teen Comic Creations
Saturdays, October 5 - 26, 1PM - 3PM [4 WEEKS] (Madeline Humphreys)
At Broadwell Building, 2nd Floor (No Elevator) in the Computer Studio This course will teach teens how to create spooky comics from pitching, drawing, formatting, and ending on learning how to print a comic. As part of the course, students will also learn how to use Adobe Photoshop and how to format a comic for printing. The students will be able to complete their very own comic by the end of the course. Create a Character
Saturdays, October 5 - 26, 10AM - Noon [4 WEEKS] (Rebekah Emmert)
Learn the possibilities of polymer clay in this introductory class! Here you’ll get to create your own original character, watching your design come to life from initial concept to finished creation.
