Sacred Rhythm/Sacred Pattern

In cooperation with the Liturgical Arts Festival of Springfield (LAFS), the Springfield Art Association (SAA) will host a juried exhibition of liturgical and sacred art as part of the biennial, interfaith Liturgical Arts Festival: Sacred Rhythm/Sacred Pattern. All spiritual interpretations, approaches and media are welcome. We aim for an exhibition of work that will support diversity, promote understanding, and foster tolerance.

Reduce, Remake, Recycle

The Underground is excited to present a juried exhibit titled Reduce, Remake, Recycle. This call is open to all media but must include recycled or found materials for artists ages 18 and up who live in Illinois. The exhibition aims to feature artworks that explore the potential of recycled materials, challenging our perceptions of waste and art.

6x6 Art Raffle
|
All Youth and Adult artists in Central Illinois are invited to participate in the SAA Collective 2026 6x6x(6) Art Exhibition and Raffle by completing and donating a 6”x 6” artwork on provided canvases. Work in 3D? Not a problem! Create a sculpture that is no bigger than 6”x6”x6” and can be displayed on a pedestal.

38th Annual Edwards Place Fine Art Fair

The Edwards Place Fine Art Fair invites artists who work in a broad range of Fine Art and Craft media to apply. The media categories are 2D (painting in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, pastel, printmaking, collage, calligraphy, mixed media, and paper arts); Ceramic (functional, sculptural, hand built, thrown); Fiber (wearable, decorative); Glass (blown, fused, slumped, cast); Jewelry (precious metal, gems, beaded, other); Photography (film, digital, alternative); Other (book arts, basketry, metal, leather, wood, other).

2,191,464 Hours of History

History is made in minutes and hours that culminate in days, weeks, months, and years of consequences from decisions and actions. The exhibition, 2,191,464 Hours of History asks you to choose a point in American History and react to it as an artist. To acknowledge the 250th Birthday of the United States, we invite you to choose a moment or period in history that is significant to you and express that importance and/or consequence through a work of art. Artists 18 years or older are welcome to apply in any media.

The Enos Park Residency for Visual Artists offers long-term residencies that provide living and studio space and community through which to reflect and engage one’s work. We accept applications from emerging, mid-career, and established artists working in all media, and especially those who emphasize community engagement, social practice, or socially-engaged works.

SAA Collective Juried Artist Applications
Deadline: Every Nov. 15, Feb 15, and July 15
SAA Collective Juried Artist Members have the opportunity to regularly show their work at SAA Collective have a featured artist’s exhibition at the SAA Collective approximately every three years, participate in juried exhibitions in the M.G. Nelson Family Gallery at a discounted rate when applicable, and participate in art outreach, teaching opportunities, and SAA events as desired. |
