Graphite Pencil Animal PortraitsMondays, September 29 - November 17 [8 weeks]: 10 AM - 12 PM [Ashlynn Frey]
In this course, students will learn the fundamental skills in drawing pet portraits, along with how to shade, control tones, compositions, and other drawing methods. Towards the end of the eight weeks, students will complete a full pet portrait of their choice. Ages 16+ SUPPLIES: Please bring a sketchbook of any size 9" x 12" or bigger. Pencils 6B to 6H, kneaded eraser, white eraser, and a small cotton cloth. General's: Kimberly Graphite Pencils are recommended. $200 Non-Members. $170 Members. Colored Pencil LandscapesWednesdays, October 1 - November 19 [8 Weeks]: 10 AM - 12 PM [Ashlynn Frey]
3rd Floor Studio (No Elevator) in the historic Broadwell Building Let’s grab coffee and head to our upstairs studio to be inspired by landscapes. Students will learn and understand the basic techniques and concepts when using Prismacolor colored pencils such as composition, proportions, and different shading techniques. Students will create a variety of small studies and then one final piece. SUPPLIES: Please bring a sketchbook of any size 9" x 12" or bigger Please note - this classroom space is only accessible via stairs. $200 Non-Members. $170 Members. Introduction to DrawingThursdays, October 2 - November 20 [8 weeks]: 6:30 - 8:30 PM [Ashlynn Frey]
During this course, students will learn the fundamental skills of drawing through studies of still lifes, landscapes, and portraiture. Students will learn and understand the basic techniques and concepts of drawing such as composition, perspective, shading, texture techniques and how to put all those elements together in order to create a dimensional work of art. Ages 16+ SUPPLIES: Please bring a sketchbook of any size 9" x 12" or bigger. Pencils 6B to 6H, kneaded eraser, white eraser, and a small cotton cloth. CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS OF CLASS
We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.
What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
In case of medical or family emergency, please give our office a call at 217-523-2631.
