Introduction to DrawingMonday, January 6 - March 3, 10AM - Noon [8 WEEKS - No class January 27th] (Ashlynn Frey)
During this course, students will learn the fundamental skills of drawing. Students will develop observational drawing skills as they further investigate line, value, form, perspective, and texture through still lifes and photographs. Students will create dynamic and compelling studied drawings using graphite pencils. Supply List: Please bring a sketchbook of any size 9”x12” or bigger. Pencils 6B to 6H, kneaded eraser, white eraser, and a small cotton cloth. $200 Non-Members. $170 Members. Let’s grab coffee and head to our upstairs library to draw plants and flowers. Students will learn and understand the basic techniques and concepts of micron pens such as composition, proportions, and how to create different textures with the medium. Students will create a variety of small studied art pieces with the opportunity to study from the books in our collection. Supplies: Please bring a sketchbook of any size 9" x 12" or bigger, kneaded eraser and white eraser. Pigma Micron pens (6 piece): .005, .01, .02, .03, .05, .08.
