Pre K - Kindergarten: Klimt's Apprentice - Glitter and GoldTuesdays, January 7- February 25: 3:45 - 4:45PM [ 8 WEEKS ] or Thursdays, January 9 - February 27: 10-11 AM [8 WEEKS] (Kate Atkinson)
This class is inspired by the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt. Kiddos will learn about symbolism while exploring some of the master’s works. They will create an embellished cat soft sculpture based off of Klimt's beloved cat, a ceramic self portrait with a symbolic cloak, a large scale tree of life painting and more depending on class pace. You kiddos will sparkle and shine during their time in this class. All supplies provided by SAA. $155 Non-Members. $125 Members. Ages 5 - 7: Winter WonderlandWednesdays, January 8- March 5: 1-2:30 PM or 4-5:30 PM [ 8 WEEKS - No class February 26] (Ashlynn Frey)
Brrr it's cold outside! Students will learn about and be inspired by all things winter! This is a mixed media course that will cover lots of mediums such as ceramics, fiber arts, painting, and etc. Students will create a ceramic hot coco tic-tac-toe game and a polar bear pillow to just name a few. Ages 8 - 12: Sweet TreatsThursdays, January 9 - March 6, 1 - 2:30PM or 4 - 5:30PM [ 8 WEEKS - No class February 27] (Ashlynn Frey)
Do you have a sweet tooth? During this course students will learn and be inspired by all things sweet! This is a mixed media course that will cover lots of mediums such as ceramics, fiber arts, painting, and etc. Students will create a ceramic cake, plaster lollipop, and a cupcake pillow to just name a few.
