Process Art "Sampler"Mondays, September 29 - November 17 [8 Weeks]: 5:30 - 7:30 PM [Kate Atkinson]
Abstraction, Printing, Painting, Dying, Color Theory, and more! This playful class will layer different mixed media techniques to create unique abstract pieces each week. The process will change every class resulting in numerous pieces that will collectively be bound together with a Japanese Stitch Binding during our last class. Hello SunshineTuesdays, September 30 - November 18 [8 Weeks]: 9 AM - 12 PM [Mariann Stremsterfer]
Using various media we will create sun imagery to submit to the CBS Sunday Morning show in the hopes that some of our artwork will be selected and showcased during their program! Join us as we look to the sun for some morning inspiration. Ages 16+ SUPPLIES: Supplies and materials provided by SAA. Inspired by John James AudubonTuesdays, September 30 - November 4 [6 Weeks]: 6 - 8 PM [Ashlynn Frey]
John James Audubon was a French-American ornithologist and self-trained watercolor artist who spent his life trying to document every bird in North America. While quite a feat, students will be inspired by Audubon and his techniques by creating their own 3D sculpture and painting of any bird of their choice Join us and let your creative spirit take flight! Fall Mixed Media SculptureWednesdays, October 1 - November 19 [8 Weeks]: 9:30 AM- 12:30 PM or Wednesdays, October 1 - November 19 [8 Weeks]: 1:30-4:30 PM[Kate Atkinson]
Class participants will create a large scale wire and paper leaf sculptures using paper mache, build armatures to create a plaster strip/mixed media piece of their choice, and more depending on class pace. We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.
What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
In case of medical or family emergency, please give our office a call at 217-523-2631.
