Come in from the cold and warm up your creative muscles in the studio! This is a mixed media class focusing on all things warm and fuzzy: handbuilt ceramic mugs, wet felting, yarn painting, wood burning, batik and more depending on class pace. This class is for anyone looking to try new mediums. Join us as we experiment, explore, play, and create! Winter Mixed Media SculptureTuesdays, January 6 - February 10 [6 Weeks]: 1:30-4:30 PM [Kate Atkinson]
Class participants will learn to build mixed media sculptures using wire armatures and plaster strip/paper mache surfaces. Students will finish a sculpture of their own design and more depending on class pace. All artistic levels welcome! Brain ArtWednesdays, January 7 - February 25 [8 Weeks]: 9:30 AM - 12 PM [Kate Atkinson]
This class explores different ways that creating can affect our brains and the benefits of artistic meditation, mindfulness, and emotional expression. We will do projects such as neurographical pen and ink, abstract synchromism painting, bilateral drawing, blind contour drawing, and sensory ceramic sculpture. Come relax, explore, and create! We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.
What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
In case of medical or family emergency, please give our office a call at 217-523-2631.
