Inspired by every grandma's kitchen, we'll be creating in ceramics, printmaking, mosaic, polymer clay, and more depending on class pace. We'll be playing the kitchen-playlist classics and swapping recipes along the way! This class is for anyone looking to try new mediums. Join us as we experiment, explore, play, and create! The Arts: Nouveau vs. DecoTuesdays, March 24 - May 12 [8 Weeks]: 9 AM - 12 PM [Marianne Stremsterfer]
Art Nouveau and Art Deco are both early 20th-century movements that share a focus on luxury, craftsmanship, and stylized nature-inspired motifs, with both often featuring female figures, foliage, and animals, despite their differing organic vs. geometric approaches in their designs. Participants will create at least one glass etching on a mirror (one mirror will be provided) and may also use etching cream on glass. Students may also use paint on canvas and/or collage to interpret their choice of styles. Ages 18+ SUPPLIES: Please bring one (1) 11x14 or larger canvases. Mixed Media FloralsWednesdays, March 25 - May 13 [8 Weeks]: 9:30 AM -12 PM or
Wednesdays, March 25 - May 13 [8 Weeks]: 1:30 - 4 PM PM [Kate Atkinson] After creating their own handbuilt ceramic vases students will use a variety of mediums and techniques to make unique 2D & 3D floral arrangements. Some large and small scale pieces will be made while experimenting with felt, paper, wire, beads and more. All artistic levels welcome! We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.
What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
In case of medical or family emergency, please give our office a call at 217-523-2631.
