Brain ArtWednesday, January 8 - February 26, 9:30 AM - 12 PM [8 WEEKS] (Kate Atkinson)
This class will explore how different ways creating art can affect our brains; from being meditative, mindful, relaxed, and emotional. We will do projects such as neurographical pen and ink, abstract synchromism (creating to music combining colors to sound) painting, bilateral drawing, blind contour drawing, and sensory ceramic sculpture. Mixed Media LandscapesThursdays, January 9 - February 27, 1 - 3:30 PM or Fridays, January 10 - February 28, 9:30 AM - 12 PM [8 WEEKS] (Kate Atkinson)
Create landscapes using painting, printing, and sculptural techniques using canvas, paper, fabric, fibers and more. Artist will explore the elements and principles of art using a variety of tools. We will create multiple pieces of layered process art. Artists are able to choose their own designs and inspiration. Some supplies will be provided but artist are welcome to bring materials of their own choosing. $200 Non-Members. $170 Members.
