Bus Trip to Indianapolis - August 3, 2024
The Michael Victor II Art Library committee is currently planning a bus trip to return to Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields in August!
The museum is spread over an area of 152 acres and features an extensive permanent collection of over 50,000 works that represent various cultures and periods. There are also several seasonal exhibits to view so if you came to our 2022 bus trip, there will still be plenty of new experiences. The Garden consists of 52 acres of horticulture guiding its guests through a living collection and seasonal displays. The Garden will also lead you to the historic Lilly house as well as the infamous Beer garden. This destination can be truly a relaxing experience for those who don't wish to walk all day. In other words, its up to you what and how much you want to do with your day! We highly recommend also visiting the Lume which will be exhibiting Dali Alive at an additional cost. Keep in mind, if you are a member to the SAA at a patron level or above, your ROAM card will gain you free general admission and a discounted rate to the Lume. To get a better sense of all the museum has to offer, be sure to visit their website at the link above. |
Annual Used Book Sale
September 21-22, 2024 Throughout the year, the Michael Victor II Art library receives generous donations of gently used books. Art related books and other great titles for adults and youth are sold at discounted prices in support of the art library. If you are interested in donating books for our annual sale, please contact our offices at 217-523-2631 to arrange a time to drop off. We accept everything except non-art related textbooks, yearbooks, and computer program manuals. We are also now asking that you do not donate magazines even if they are art related.
