Class will create a large scale wire and paper leaf sculptures using paper mache; as well as, build armatures to create a plaster strip/mixed media piece of their choice and more depending on class pace. John James Audubon was a French-American ornithologist and self-trained watercolor artist who spent his life trying to document every bird in North America. While quite a feat, students will be inspired by Audubon and his techniques by creating their own 3D sculpture and painting of any bird of their choice Join us and let your creative spirit take flight! Sculpted Sheet MetalSaturdays, October 4 - November 15 [6 Weeks]: 3:30 - 5:30 PM [Kaye Demlow]
(NO class October 25) See how fabrication can transform a simple piece of metal sheet into a fantastic 3D sculpture. Learn new intermediate cutting, chasing, forming, and soldering techniques in this six week course with Kaye Demlow. Ages 16+ SUPPLIES: Tools and some materials will be provided by SAA for students. We do not issue credits, or roll forward tuition.
What is the class refund policy?
Class Refunds for 8-week classes and SAAmplers will be issued at 95% of original purchase price if you cancel 1 week in advance or more before class start date.
Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance will not be eligible for a refund. For example: If you cancel your class 48 hours before the start time, your registration is not valid for a refund. We can not issue credits or roll forward tuition.
In case of medical or family emergency, please give our office a call at 217-523-2631.
