Activity Tent
The Make Truck gives a creative addition to your event! We can tailor the activity to your event. a take home project for all ages.
All Ages Size: Minimum 100 participants or minimum cost of $200. Time: 5 - 8 minute crafts, tailored to the theme of your event Minimum duration: 2 hours; or until supplies run out Space Requirement: 400 sq ft. Activity is done outside of the truck. Clay Project
Students will create individual hand built clay projects: coil building, clay sculpture figurine, or wearable Fimo pendant. All projects will be air dry or Sculpey/ Fimo materials for them to take home at the end of the workshop.
Use of clay techniques, textures, and tools are demonstrated by the artist. Grade: Preschool and up Class Size: up to 25 students per session Time: 45 minutes per session Minimum duration: 2 hours Price: $500, $150 per extra hour |

Fresco Secco + Make Paint
Fresco Secco is a wall painting technique where you mix pigment onto dried plaster. You will receive your own plaster block approx. 5" x 7" to create your painting; image can be a cultural reference such as Egyptian murals or famous works of art such as The Last Supper. You will also create one tempera paint color by mixing pigment and raw egg for your fresco secco.

Needle Felting Animal
Needle felting is a dry felting technique which uses barbed needles to entangle wool fibers to form a small soft sculpture. Students will create one small simple creature to create.

Book Arts
Students will create their own book for sketching, journal writing, or creative story. Depending on age, we have two types of book art options: accordion fold or pamphlet stitch. Critter accordion fold will allow for time to create your critter cover that can be pre-made to assemble for younger students or an elaborate critter designs for older students. If you decide to go with the pamphlet stitch, we will also show traditional marbling techniques for the cover.

Printmaking
Students create individual prints: carved block print or Gelli plate printing.
Block, or relief, printing includes linocuts, lino prints, woodblock prints, rubber stamping - pretty much any method where you carve into a material (a block, plate, etc.) and print an impression of the carved surface with ink. Gelli Plate Printing uses a gelatin plate to press to fabric or paper. The process is easy as the paint is put on the gelli surface, spread out with a brayer then a variety of stencils and other texture objects are placed on the gelli plate, removed and placed on the print surface. Encaustic Painting/ Printing
Encaustic is painting or printing with hot wax. Using crayons and hot plates we will paint with hot wax or draw an image on the hot plate and monoprint an encaustic image. We can make abstract images like Jasper John's artwork, images of wax flowers, and more.

The entire school will create a mural or series of micro murals (minimum

Bronwyn Eves Memorial Project
The Bronwyn Eves Memorial Project selects one school a year for an all-assembly art project.
This is completely free to the school and provided by the friends and family of Bronwyn Eves.
It includes workshops that will develop the final installation project chosen by school admins to best fit on their campus.

Reserve The Make Truck
Our Education Director, Erin Svendsen, will be your contact person for your reservation needs and questions. Please, fill out the form with your initial event request and she will get in touch. We require: - At least 2 weeks advance notice. - Deposit of $50 to reserve the truck - The Make Truck is active between May - November months for outdoor events We will be coordinating the reservation request with our studio calendar and Birthday Coordinator schedule.
