Tracy Dunn
My journey into pastels started after a pastel show at a local art fair and then attending a workshop in 2014. Although my background is in Graphic Design, I have always been drawn to pastels, the beauty of their unique colors that form light, shadows, and texture. Since my initial introduction to pastel, my style has evolved from the many workshops I have attended with various pastel artists. My photography is my inspiration for my paintings. When traveling, I always have my camera in hand to capture landscapes, wildlife and flowers. I enjoy how the pastels evolve by blending and layering the different values of colors to depict these elements of nature. In my paintings, I hope to bring both my skills in design and the unique colors of pastels into a unified composition the viewers will enjoy. |
