OMA Participants
SPRINGFIELD ART ASSOCIATION produces an art program for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. This a 8-week class that improves the participant's physical and psychological well-being through creative expression.
2025 Fall Schedule: September 30 - November 18: Every Tuesday from 2 - 3PM
We will meet every Tuesday from 2 - 3 PM from September 30-November 18, 2025 in the Condell Studio of the Springfield Art Association on 700 N. 4th Street.
You will enter the studio through Condell Studio Door, located off of the south side of the building.
Participants and Caregivers must fill out the complete registration form (seen below) prior to the first class. Please, help our volunteers have as much information about the participant to give them the best experience possible.
At the end of the class session, we will showcase student's artwork with their own OMA Exhibition.
Exhibition: December 2nd from 2 - 3 PM at the SAA M.G. Nelson Family Gallery, 700 N. 4th Street. Springfield, IL 62702
All of the participant's family and friends will be invited to view their finished pieces.
