John Hayes - Painting
"I have always had an aptitude for fixing and making things – not ALL things but SOME things. Also, I have always had an interest in and an appreciation for color and design. Putting all this together has, I believe, naturally led me into drawing and painting, which I have now been doing in earnest for about thirty years.
In my lifetime of looking, I have always responded to various KINDS of art –representative and abstract, two dimensional and three dimensional. This range of interest has resulted in my wanting to make different kinds of artwork in terms of imagery and spatial volume. I think this show of some of my recent artwork may display some of that variety." |
