Artist Statement regarding current portfolio: "2 45"
A photograph. Excellent. Everyone knows what a photograph means. It is what it is. A symbol of a thing. That's all. We put in a box and move on. I'm driven to photograph because I want so much to share that moment when I'm out and about. That moment when everything smooths out and there is more than just me there. There's a memory, an arrangement, an exchange, an emotion.
"Hey, over here. Look at me."
These pairs are about getting closer to sharing why that time and why just then? Clarifying what I was thinking about at the time. Sometimes they come up as dreams that wake me up. At 2:45.
