Delinda Chapman - Painting and Collage

Delinda Chapman, Ed.D, a retired educational administrator and social services administrator, for the last eight years has been painting acrylic and mixed media abstracts and figures on canvas, masonite and recycled paper bags. Delinda has taken classes and workshops at Prairie Art Alliance, the Springfield Art Association, and the Sarasota Center for the Arts.
As a juried member of the Prairie Art Alliance, Delinda has work hanging in Springfield at the HD Smith Gallery in the Hoogland Center for the Arts where she has been a featured artist. Delinda has been a featured artist at the HD Smith Gallery and has had one-person shows at Trout Lily Cafe, Caitie Girls' restaurant, Prairie House Custom Frames and the Eclectic Gallery in Jacksonville IL. Delinda presently sells her work at The Collective Gallery and The Pharmacy Gallery and Art Space where she is also a member. In April 2011, Delinda won the Green Award for recycled art at Lincoln Memorial Garden's "Art in the Garden". In Tawas City, Michigan, August 2011 at the 51st Annual Tawas Waterfront Fine Arts Festival, Delinda won first place for Acrylic Paintings, and in August 2012 she won second place for Mixed Media. For ten years, 2001- 2011, Delinda produced and hosted the Springfield Access 4 cable television program, "The Learning Curve." |
