David L. Ross - Photography

​David L. Ross is from the coasts—he was born in California and raised in Maryland—and now makes his home in Springfield, Illinois.  He has long had an interest in photography, and in the last several years he has become more serious about creating fine art photos.  Dave's technical career in computer programming may seem far removed from his art, but much of computer science concerns pattern recognition—and many of Dave's photography subjects include patterns or textures. 

​He has been part of the Emerging Artist program at the Springfield Art Association, and has exhibited locally at the the Hope for the Holidays Fine Art and Craft Show, Downtown Springfield's “Deck the Walls” event, and at the H. D. Smith Gallery of the SAA Collective.
