Beaux Arts Ball Queen 2019
Queen Allie Rose Moffett
Allie Rose Moffett is the daughter of Lisa and Daniel Moffett. She attended Christ the King grade school and later graduated from Sacred Heart-Griffin. Throughout her childhood, Allie participated in and looked forward to the SAA’s summer camps every year. She left Springfield to attend Butler University, located in Indianapolis, IN., to study strategic communication and business. During her time at Butler, Allie was a student orientation guide and advocate for community engagement. Both of these positions emphasized a focus on community and expansion of one’s surroundings, which are skills that she then utilized during her semester abroad in Florence, Italy. She is currently working for Hamilton County tourism as their public relations and marketing intern, and is loving the opportunity to learn more about Indiana’s amazing local businesses. Allie’s fondest memories of the SAA include making gingerbread houses, participating in the Ghosts of Edwards Place, creating a foot stool out of her own foot cast, eating lunch with new friends around the buffalo statue, taking a pottery course with her mom and cuttin’ a rug at the Beaux Arts Ball with her brother, Will, and her Granny Allie. She is proud to represent her class in this important Springfield tradition, which allows citizens to learn about and enjoy the arts in so many ways, something very important to Allie.
