Thursdays January 19 - March 9: 4 - 6PM [Jane Jackson] the participants will learn the traditional motifs and patterns for Fair Isle and Norwegian 2 color or stranded knitting. We will choose one or several of these motifs to make our traditional headband or hat. The participant may also choose a contemporary printed Fair Isle or Norwegian pattern. We will learn how to strand the colors so that the finished project will be stretchy.
Supplies: 1. 2 16” circular needles and a set of double point needles the same size, or a second circular needle, same size 2. fingering wool yarn ( you will need 3-6 different colors about 200-300 yards each) we will discuss this at the first class.
