Steven Burkheart is primarily a nature photographer living in Springfield Illinois, spending his time capturing images of the local woodlands.

"One of the most gratifying things about art photography is making photos people enjoy. It is extremely rewarding to know that my work pleases the viewer. I like to work with shapes, angles and colors in composing photographs. Flowers and landscapes are my favorite types of images, but I also enjoy portraits and architecture. Photography allows me to make visual art, through which I can express myself."
