Rebecca Matejka Dupont - Photography
I have identified myself as an artist since I was quite young, always drawing on anything and everything. I work as a graphic artist to this day, but my favorite passion has been photography since I earned my first “C” in College in my black and white photography and darkroom class. That grade didn’t discourage me. I loved everything about photography. I loved the chemical smell, the red safe lights, my hands in the trays (what tongs?), loading film onto and off of reels in the dark. I was hooked, and still am. Only recently have my film cameras been lovingly placed in my grandmother’s china cabinet for safekeeping. They are treasured parts of my creative history. Now I carry my trusted Canon digital, with several lens options, with me whenever I am on an adventure, or when to my delight, spirit moves me and gives me incredible gifts that I know came from someplace beyond me. Thank you for viewing my images. I hope they bring you peace.
