Pam Allen - Jewelry

"I have learned something from nearly every classmate I have ever had but the major influences in my jewelry-making education have been four people with so much talent, imagination, and creativity I can’t begin to hope to ever match their level of expertise.
I started my journey with Bob Ritz at the Springfield Artist Association; I learned the basics and so much more. Bob was always willing to try something and frequently said he enjoyed beginning students because “they didn’t know what they couldn’t do” and were always going beyond!
Next mentor is Poppy Vincent who tried to teach me patience (failed that one) but is another of the most talented jewelry artists I know and has the steadiest hands on the planet. Her waxwork is amazing.
Meghan Tippy Reese is another teacher and mentor, an awe inspiring artist whose ability to connect metal with fire is as unmatched as is her creativity and imagination.
And fourth but certainly not my least is Kim St. Jean who spends thirty weeks every year sharing her skills and passion for creative beauty out of metal and stone with students all over the country! My thanks to all my teachers and classmates for all they have shared with me!"
