A series of one-night art classes that provides a fun, care-free introduction to, or development in a certain medium. BYOB or snack to the studio, unless you are working in the glass studio, metals studio, or Edwards Place, in which we will ask that you do not bring alcoholic drinks.

This is a beginner’s Calligraphy Class. You will be taught all of the introductory steps to lead you into the writing of the traditional Chancery Cursive hand (style of alphabet). Before the end of class you will be able to write your name and/or a favorite quotation using a calligraphy marker. If you want to take the class again on the second day, you may. She will show you a few more advanced steps if you are returning. Historical Craft - Victorian ValentinesSaturday, February 4, 2023 9 AM - 12 PM [Laura Reyman]
* This workshop will be in Edwards Place This session offers information about the general history of valentines, Helen E. Condell's extensive collection of valentines (granddaughter of Helen and Benjamin Edwards; the collection held by Illinois State Museum), and illustrations of original Victorian/Civil War era cards and envelopes. Historical Craft - Spool KnittingSaturday, February 4, 2023 9 AM - 12 PM [Laura Reyman]
* This workshop will be in Edwards Place This workshop offers instruction in the basics of spool knitting, which can be everything from using a simple knitting Nancy with four pegs to working with a multi-peg loom to produce hats, scarves, and larger items.
