Hallie Koenig - Painting / Drawing
"I love to work with different materials and I like to push the technical boundaries of art media. My work is inspired by everyday experiences that I try to frame in a unique way - a leaf on the ground, a beautiful flower, or line of a pose. I like to explore contrast and texture in my art, and the idea and concept dictate the media. I change the media depending on the the idea I want to express, but I have found that watercolor gives me the most versatility for expressing different moods and ideas. I also find the inspiration in sharing my love of art with young people, and have worked as an art teacher for the past 16 years."
