Gay Sybert - Emerging Artist - Pastel

Inspired by the beauty of nature, color and everyday life, Gay Sybert has been painting since 2019. Her early focus was mostly on portrait and still life work, but she has recently expanded to working on landscapes. She has taken several classes at the Springfield Art Association, as well as several soft pastel workshops. She enjoys working in a variety of mediums including acrylics, oils, watercolor in addition to soft pastel.
Gay lives with her husband in Athens and has resided there for almost 40 years. In addition to being a part of the emerging program at the SAA Collective, Gay is a member of the Illinois Pastel Society. Follow Gay on Instagram!
